STURBY GROUP

Our Process

A clear process.
From first conversation to handover.

Good construction starts well before work begins on site. Our process is designed to define the scope, resolve the details and keep communication clear throughout the project.

  1. 01

    Initial Enquiry

You get in touch with a short outline of your project. We discuss what you're planning, the site and your rough budget range to confirm we're the right fit.

  2. 02

    Consultation

A longer conversation about your brief, priorities and timing — including any design work already underway and what still needs to be resolved.

  3. 03

    Site Visit

We walk the site with you to review access, levels, existing structure and services, and flag anything likely to influence scope or cost.

  4. 04

    Concept & Scope

Your brief is translated into a defined scope of works. Where design is required, we can work alongside your architect, designer or draftsperson.

  5. 05

    Pricing

We prepare a detailed, itemised price based on the agreed scope, with inclusions and allowances clearly set out so you can see what's covered.

  6. 06

    Pre-Construction

Contracts, approvals, engineering, selections and the construction program are finalised so the project starts with the details resolved.

  7. 07

    Construction

Trades are coordinated, work is reviewed as it goes in, and you receive regular updates on progress, decisions and any variations.

  8. 08

    Handover

A joint inspection, completion of any final items, and handover of documentation, warranties and maintenance information for your home.

How we work

Three principles behind every project.

01

You deal directly with the builder

The person managing your site is the person you speak with about it — from first conversation to handover.

02

Scope before price

Pricing follows a defined scope, so you can see exactly what is covered and compare like for like.

03

Clear, regular communication

Progress, decisions and any variations are communicated as they happen, not after the fact.

Have a project in mind?

The best place to start is a conversation.
